Singapore | July 25th – ROOTCLOUD and TÜV SÜD PSB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on carbon management and energy optimization solutions.
In the presence of Mr. Clement Teo, Senior Vice President, Business Assurance, TÜV SÜD ASEAN, and Mr. Michael Zhao, Director, Global Partnership & Solutions, ROOTCLOUD Technology, Mr. Richard Hong, CEO, TÜV SÜD ASEAN, and Mr. Ho Howe Tian, Managing Director, ROOTCLOUD Technology, signed the MoU.
TÜV SÜD is a trusted partner who provides safety, security, and sustainability solutions. Over the last 150 years, they have added value to their partners and customers through a comprehensive portfolio of testing, certification, auditing, and advisory services. By staying true to their original purpose to protect people, the environment, and assets from technology-related risks, they have enabled society and businesses to make significant progress.
Collaboration between these two companies will assist businesses in reducing their carbon footprint and achieving sustainability goals. It also enables a combination of ROOTCLOUD’s IIoT technology in carbon footprint tracking and energy management and TÜV SÜD’s competence in testing, inspection, training, and certification services. TÜV SÜD will help ROOTCLOUD validate its carbon credit report and ensure its cybersecurity and data privacy on the Smart Carbon Management Platform to deliver a safe, secure, and reliable platform for its end users.
In response to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) requirements on carbon emissions, countries have set carbon peak targets and formulated policies in line with their circumstances. As manufacturing companies are increasingly chasing environment-friendly and sustainable development, energy control and carbon tracking are now facing higher requirements. Meanwhile, enterprises are also expected to reduce energy emissions and carbon footprint. ROOTCLOUD makes advantage of IIoT and blockchain technology to help enterprises to manage energy emissions more effectively and to achieve sustainability.
“It is a significant moment for ROOTCLOUD,” said Mr. Ho Howe Tian, Managing Director of ROOTCLOUD (SEA & ANZ) “As partners in IIoT and industrial blockchain technology, we are dedicated to providing enterprises, governments, and other organizations with the tools and the know-how to promote the transition to a more environmental-friendly practice in the manufacturing sector. The MOU signed, ROOTCLOUD will be able to make the Smart Carbon Management Platform more secure and reliable, with testing, inspection, training, and certification services offered by TÜV SÜD to ROOTCLOUD’s clients. And it will significantly boost the long-term growth of our clients.”
